The Stage 1 upgrade for the Kia Cerato GT is engineered to significantly enhance engine performance through precise modifications and calibrations. The process begins with the installation of a high-flow air filter, which increases volumetric airflow into the combustion chamber, reducing intake restrictions. Following this, four high-performance spark plugs are installed to improve ignition efficiency, resulting in more complete combustion and increased power output.

To optimize exhaust flow and engine breathing, an X-Force resonator/secondary catalytic converter delete pipe is fitted. This modification reduces backpressure and enhances exhaust scavenging, contributing to increased horsepower and torque.

The core of the upgrade involves ECU remapping performed on a dynamometer. Using advanced tuning software, we execute a real-time calibration of engine parameters including fuel maps, ignition timing, and boost control (if applicable). This ensures the engine operates at peak efficiency, maximizing output while maintaining reliability and safety.

Post-tuning, the vehicle undergoes rigorous road testing to verify driveability and performance adjustments. The process concludes with a dyno session producing a comprehensive power and torque graph, clearly illustrating the improvements achieved through the upgrade.
