The HPF Stage-2 Upgrade for the Isuzu D-Max/MU-X 3.0L Diesel boosts towing and off-road performance with a Process West front mount intercooler kit, a Process West SEPR8R Catch Can, and custom ECU tuning. Professionally installed and dyno-optimized by our skilled technicians, this package enhances power, torque, and reliability, with before-and-after dyno graphs provided to showcase performance gains.

Upgrades

  1. Process West Front Mount Intercooler Kit
    Replaces the undersized factory intercooler and unreliable rubber hoses with a larger, heavy-duty intercooler and durable silicone hoses. This upgrade reduces intake temperatures by up to 40°C, improving air density and maintaining consistent power output during towing or off-roading.
     
    • Features:
      • Bar and plate construction for durability and effective cooling.
      • Larger core for enhanced heat dissipation.
      • High-strength silicone hoses for reliability under high boost conditions.
         
  2. Process West SEPR8R Catch Can
    Captures oil mist from the crankcase vent, preventing carbon buildup in the inlet manifold and intercooler, which can reduce engine performance and reliability over time.
     
    • Features:
      • Billet aluminum construction with a 650ml capacity.
      • Internal metal matrix filtration system, anti-clog, washable, and reusable.
      • Over-pressure relief valve to prevent system failure.
      • Drain port with optional drain valve.
      • Custom bracket and temperature-resistant hoses for the D-Max/MU-X engine bay.
         
  3. Custom ECU Tuning
    Using advanced tuning software, we optimize the ECU on the dyno in real-time to maximize power, torque, and fuel efficiency. Road testing ensures refined performance and driveability.

The Stage-2 Upgrade is modular, building on Stage-1 and allowing future enhancements without redundant costs. Using premium Process West components, manufactured in Berkeley, NSW since 2003, we ensure maximum performance, reliability, and driveability for towing and off-road applications.

Key Features

The Stage 2 package addresses the next level of components that limit power; generally this will be a Intercooler and associated hardware upgrade. The Intercooler upgrade is aimed at maintaining our ‘reliability first protocol’ which maintains safe air fuel ratios and low EGT’s. You will note that the Stage 2 package may not include what is traditionally thought to be ‘essential diesel upgrades’ but rest assured, if it’s needed, it will be in the Stage 2 package.

  • Power figures listed are estimated kilowatts at the flywheel based on results typically obtained by HPF on HPF’s dynos and are based on a automatic vehicle with standard driveline and standard wheels and tyres. Actual power can vary based on each specific vehicle.
  • We advise against increasing the power output substantially on high kilometer engines, if your engine has in excessive of 150,000kms please contact us to discuss options.
