The HPF Stage-3 Upgrade for the Isuzu D-Max/MU-X 3.0L Diesel delivers enhanced power, torque, and reliability for towing and off-road performance. Featuring a Gturbo 4J-G250 turbocharger, Process West front mount intercooler kit, Process West SEPR8R Catch Can, and custom ECU tuning, this package is professionally installed and dyno-optimized, with before-and-after dyno graphs showcasing performance gains.

Upgrades

  1. Gturbo 4J-G250 Turbocharger
    Upgrades the factory turbo to increase airflow and reliability, extending the powerband beyond 2900rpm for improved performance. Direct-fit design requires no additional modifications.

      • Enhanced airflow for higher power and torque.
      • Improved durability over stock turbo.
      • Manufactured in Balcatta, WA with a 1-year warranty.
  2. Process West Front Mount Intercooler Kit
    Replaces the undersized factory intercooler and unreliable rubber hoses with a larger, heavy-duty intercooler and silicone hoses, reducing intake temperatures by up to 40°C for consistent power during towing or off-roading.
    • Features:
      • Bar and plate construction for durability and cooling efficiency.
      • Larger core for superior heat dissipation.
      • High-strength silicone hoses for reliability under boost.
  3. Process West SEPR8R Catch Can
    Captures oil mist from the crankcase vent, preventing carbon buildup in the inlet manifold and intercooler to maintain engine performance and reliability.
    • Features:
      • Billet aluminum with a 650ml capacity.
      • Washable, reusable metal matrix filtration system.
      • Over-pressure relief valve and drain port with optional valve.
      • Custom bracket and hoses for the D-Max/MU-X engine bay.
  4. Custom ECU Tuning
    Optimizes the ECU on the dyno in real-time using advanced software to maximize power, torque, and fuel efficiency. Road testing ensures refined performance and driveability.

Key Features

The Stage 3 package addresses the next level of components that limit power; generally this will be a turbocharger and associated hardware upgrade. The turbocharger upgrade is aimed at increasing air flow into the engine; this allows extra fuel to be added for more power and torque throughout the rev range. We still maintain our ‘reliability first protocol’ which maintains safe air fuel ratios and low EGT’s. You will note that the Stage 3 package may not include what is traditionally thought to be ‘essential diesel upgrades’ but rest assured, if it’s needed, it will be in the Stage 3 package.

  • Power figures listed are estimated kilowatts at the flywheel based on results typically obtained by HPF on HPF’s dynos and are based on a automatic vehicle with standard driveline and standard wheels and tyres. Actual power can vary based on each specific vehicle.
