The Landcruiser 300 Series Stage 2 Towing upgrade is expertly designed to enhance your vehicle's performance through a series of high-quality modifications. The upgrade process begins with our trained technician replacing the factory air box with a high-flow GTurbo assembly to deliver peak performance and reliability.  

Next, we install a larger Cross Country Intercooler Heat Exchanger. With the introduction of the 300 Series, we quickly realized the need to improve the cooling ability of the water-to-air cooling system. On the dyno, we have observed the ECU reducing power output over multiple runs as the factory system struggles to dissipate enough heat under high load conditions. To address this, Cross Country 4×4 has developed a 300 Series heat exchanger upgrade using PWR’s highly efficient rolled dimple tube and fin heat exchanger core, measuring 500 x 307 x 44mm. This upgrade has demonstrated temperature drops of up to 50% compared to the factory setup. Mounted centrally in front of the radiator, the engine fan continuously draws air through the heat exchanger, helping manage intake temperatures more effectively, especially under extreme loads such as towing.  

We complete the mechanical upgrades by fitting a Manta 4" high-flow DPF-back exhaust system, which significantly improves the engine's breathing capabilities and optimizes exhaust flow. To maximize the benefits of these upgrades, we custom-tune your vehicle's ECU on the dynamometer. Utilizing the latest ECU tuning software, we optimize engine parameters in real-time to enhance power, torque, and fuel efficiency. This tailored tuning process ensures that all modifications work seamlessly together, delivering outstanding performance.  

The upgrade process concludes with extensive road testing, allowing us to make any necessary final adjustments to further enhance your vehicle’s overall performance and drivability. At the end of the upgrade, you will receive a detailed dyno graph comparing the power and torque figures before and after the Stage 2 Towing upgrade, clearly illustrating the significant improvements achieved.
